Keeping Women in Tech—and Helping Them Thrive

BouncePoint is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity nonprofit organization dedicated to retaining women in technology and supporting those returning to the field. While many programs focus on getting women into tech, far fewer address the deeper challenge: keeping them there.

The numbers tell a clear story. Just 25% of tech degrees are earned by women—and even when they enter the field, women leave their careers at a rate 45% higher than men. This isn’t just a pipeline problem—it’s a workplace problem.

Too many women exit tech because of poor workplace culture—rigid policies, unclear advancement paths, exclusion from key conversations, or subtle, persistent bias. These aren’t always dramatic moments; more often, it’s a slow erosion of opportunity, connection, and respect.

At BouncePoint, we’re helping to change that.

We support women in tech by fostering community, connection, and long-term career sustainability. We build programs that encourage women to remain in the field, return with confidence, and look out for one another. One of the most powerful things women can do is actively support and promote each other. Men have long known that advocating for peers can be a smart, strategic career move—and it’s time women use that same strategy.

Importantly, we’re not interested in symbolic advancement. Women in tech aren’t asking to be promoted because they’re women. They want to be recognized for what they’ve built, solved, and led. Success should be earned through skill and performance—nothing more, nothing less.

Many of our strongest supporters are men—especially those who own or lead technology companies. They want to see talented women succeed and are working to build companies where that’s possible. They understand that when skilled people stay, everyone benefits.

We also help women identify companies where the culture aligns with their goals—workplaces that offer clear career paths, flexibility, and mutual respect across teams. These are the environments where women thrive, stay, and lead.
